Soil to CEO Launches in Atlanta

This spring, SouthSea Rising launched Soil to CEO, our Atlanta pilot program introducing young people to agriculture, entrepreneurship, and hands-on learning through food, creativity, and play.

Hosted at Doghead Farm in partnership with Concrete Jungle, our first experience invited students to explore coconuts from the inside out. Participants cracked coconuts, learned where they come from, created with natural materials, and discovered how everyday foods can spark curiosity, creativity, and new ideas.

More than anything, the day reminded us that meaningful learning happens when young people are encouraged to ask questions, explore with their hands, and have fun.

Thank you to the families who joined us and helped make our very first Soil to CEO program such a memorable beginning.

As SouthSea Rising continues to grow, we’re excited to expand programming in Atlanta while developing new opportunities for young people to connect with agriculture, environmental learning, art, and entrepreneurship.

We look forward to welcoming more families later this summer and into the fall.
