SouthSea Rising Kitchen Lab: Fruit & Flower Dye Workshop
Join SouthSea Rising and Food Well Alliance for a hands-on Fruit & Flower Dye Workshop at Leila Valley Community Farm.
Designed for youth ages 5–16, this outdoor Kitchen Lab invites kids to explore the natural colors hiding in flowers, fruits, spices and other plants. We’ll experiment with natural dyes and pigments, create botanical art to take home, and gather around our Kitchen Table for a tasting that connects food back to what we’ve explored.

About SouthSea Rising Youth Kitchen Lab
SouthSea Rising creates hands-on experiences that connect young people to food, agriculture, the environment and the places around them. Through experiences like our Youth Kitchen Labs, we’re exploring how greater access to green space, food education and the natural world can support well-being, address the social determinants of well-being and help strengthen community resilience across generations.
Come ready to make, taste, experiment and get your hands into some serious color.
